UNITED ANGLERS OF CALIFORNIA'S
4th ANNUAL GUADALUPE RIVER CLEANUP DAY!
Saturday, October 2, 2004

WHO - Individuals, families, fishing clubs, church groups, school groups, and other groups. No children under 13, please.

WHAT - Major cleanup of our adopted river section; we'll remove trash, shopping carts, and dead weeds. It looks like a different river when we're done!

WHEN - Saturday, October 2, 2004, starting at 8:00 am and running past noon.

WHERE - The section of Guadalupe River from Foxworthy Avenue to Capitol Expressway in San Jose. To get there, drive east on Foxworthy, cross Almaden Expressway, and park in one of the commercial-building parking lots where Foxworthy dead-ends into the river.

WHY - So the salmon and steelhead can have a healthy environment to grow and spawn in.

BRING - Yourself, plus any of the following:

  • rakes
  • shovels
  • hoes
  • pruners
  • waders
  • long ropes
Gloves and trash bags will be provided.

THE FOOD - We'll provide donuts & coffee in the morning and hot dogs & sodas for lunch. Or you can bring your own lunch or have a picnic if you like.
