In the better restaurants the beef is imported from the U.S, and fruits and vegetables are at their freshest, since Mazatlan is surrounded by major agricultural enterprises. Many of the restaurants feature live bands, with Mariachi music being a favorite. This city also has many fine nightclubs featuring live music and dancing till all hours of the night - or early morning if you can last!

Your 3 days of fishing are aboard one of Bill Heimpel's StarFleet sportfishing cruisers and includes fishing licenses and all necessary fishing tackle (bring your favorite rod if you must). The StarFleet is one of Mexico's finest and most modern fishing fleets. With more than 30 years experience, it is the largest fleet in Mazatlan. The fleet operates modern sportfishing cruisers ranging from 34' to 43'.

To help preserve the beautiful billfish species for the enjoyment of future generations of anglers, The StarFleet and Neptune Adventures vigorously support the "Catch and Release" of all billfish. So practice up on your CPR - Catch, Photograph and Release - when you've hooked a billfish.

Your daily catch is cleaned and bagged (if you do NOT practice catch and release) by the boat crew upon your return to the dock. The hotel will place your bagged catch in their freezer facilities and hold it for you for your checkout, then just pack your fish in your ice chest, and your ready for your trip home.

Make no mistake, Mazatlan is not a dusty, dirt-street fishing village sleepily lying beside the Sea of Cortez. It is, rather, a large modern city with all the attractions one can expect of a major resort area. The hustle and bustle of a large city is there, but amazingly, Mazatlan seems to "hustle and bustle" at a much slower and relaxed pace.
