She taps into the essential energy of her subject, and viewing her art becomes an interactive experience. She surrounds these images with hand painted frames that complement and enhance them, and actual hand tied flies are mounted on the fish series incorporating another medium.
Her affinity for her subjects naturally overlaps her passion for good causes, in particular those protecting defenseless children and wildlife. Seattle Children's Orthopedic Hospital, Yakima Children's Home Society, March of Dimes, Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, as well as many others, have directly benefited.
I first met Teri while she was volunteering her time and art in support of organizations involved in the Oroville Salmon Festival. Housed in the old stone bathhouse on the banks of the Feather River, the impact of her wildlife was reflected in the faces of the viewers.
Her energy is boundless and her enthusiasm infectious. Jim Gasney, nationally syndicated writer, chose her to illustrate a story he wrote for Safari International Magazine. Her work hangs in the offices of Boeing, Unisys, Mircosoft, as well has in many private collections. She also is a Licensed Associate Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and authored and published the Home Décor Guide. Presently she is attending computer graphics school and living in Butte County.
A collection of Teri's work is presently on exhibit in Sacramento and I would encourage you to drop in for a look. You can reach Teri at artfish@jps.net.
