Are you a novice angler who wants to know more about the techniques of catching striped bass, black bass and sturgeon on the Delta? Or are you an experienced fisherman who wants to brush up on your angling knowledge and get some insight into catching more fish? The California Striped Bass Association, Fish Hooker's Sportfishing, and Hap's Bait and Tackle are sponsoring the 16th annual "Fishing the Fabulous Delta Seminar and Clinic" at Hap's in Rio Vista on September 24, from 10:30 to 4 p.m. There is no fee for the seminars, but raffle tickets are available at a $1 a piece. From 10:30 to 11:30 Captain Barry Canevaro will be talking about "Trolling for Striped Bass." From noon to 1:00, Black Bass Instructor and Fisherman, Bobby Barrack, is lecturing on "Deadly Tactics for Delta Black Bass." From 1:30 to 2:00, Canevaro will be giving instruction on "The Art of Bait Fishing for Striped Bass." And from 3:00 to 4:00, Canevaro will talk about "Sturgeon Fishing in Delta Waters." |
