Fishing Notes:
- Fair to good baitfishing for trout from shore or open boat along east shoreline points and drop-offs south of Lightning Tree Point.
- Troll entire length of east and north shoreline from Grizzly Creek mouth to dam. Trolling flies, spoons, spinners and dodgers withether nighcrawlers or crickets is good all along creek bed. Downriggers work good south of Lightning Tree Point, with toplining or shallow trolling with trolling flies or small lures in northern third of east shore. Good baitfishing or trolling dodgers and flashers ahead of worms or spoons in main part of lake around and below island.
- West side of lake is excellent habitat for wading and flyfishing. Excellent trolling or casting flies for trout just off shore where submerged grassy points drop off into channels. Fishing can be good all day early in season; while in summer and mid-summer trout come up out of channels and deeper water to feed on fly hatches and bugs in grassy submerged humps and hogbacks. Follow creek channels on west side up to running water and entrance pools. Good fly fishing under submerged cutbanks.
