Brian Wilson
This 41 pound male was taken off of the bank on a kwik fish w/sardine wrap. Fishing the Sacramento River below Irvine Finch boat Launch. 10.03.05. Brother in-law landed a 25 pounder the day before on the same rig. Brian Wilson
Mark and Tyler Elkins
For Uncle Richard and Auntie Deborah, As you know, I have been taking your nephew, Tyler, fishing for several years now but have just started taking him out on the ocean. On his second trip on the ocean out of Half Moon Bay, Tyler, who is 9 yrs. old, started us off in great fashion with a beautiful 14lb salmon, his biggest in the 2 trips he has been on. We then proceeded with a steady pick of 14lb - 17lb fish, when dad finally hooked up a nice one, only to have the other rod hook up as well. Tyler had a big fish on! I was hopeful that he followed instructions, and he did, and then landed his biggest salmon, a feisty 20lb'er. A proud dad, Mark Elkins
Mitch Andrews
...from Bucks Lake... My bud Mitch Andrews caught this while camping over the July 4th, 2005 weekend, a large Silver/Yellow Stingfish on 12lb test. The one he is holding weighed in at 24lbs. The most excitement tho' was the nite, when "THE CINNAMON BEAR" came into his camp, pushing its nose into his tent looking for food. Catching fish seemed secondary at that point! Bucks Lake... an exciting place indeed!
Unknown names
We had to chase this one with the big motor after it took my reel to the bottom knot! 47 pounds, 48 inches as weighed and measured at broadway bait in sacramento.
Rich Maye and his neighbor Carl
Deborah, These were caught by Rich Maye and his neighbor Carl of Ophir up near Newcastle, Calif. They were fishing flatfish and quickfish with a sardine wrap. Submitted by Gary Haltom, Meridian, Idaho , longtime subscriber and longtime Roseville, Calif resident. Caught these Tues. the 11 of Oct. on the Sacto river about 50 miles north of Red Bluff (about 1 hr and 15 mins from my house). Mine were 46 and 34 lbs-Carl actually caught 3 one 31 and two in the mid twenties-fished for a total of 5 hrs-over 150 pounds of fish. Had 6 others that we didn't get in the boat.
Don Everingham
Deborah, I'm forwarding you two pictures of my little brother's Labor Day fishing success. He caught a 25.4 lb. Ling Cod on the Tiger Fish out of Pillar Point Harbor near Half Moon Bay, California. The captain of the Tiger Fish is Allen Chin. The cod measured 4' and its eyeballs were as big as .50 cent pieces. Understandably he won first place for the largest fish caught on the charter. Thanks for posting Don's cod. Guy Everingham Jealous Big Brother
Coral and Brian
We fished at Verona on Sunday 9-24-05 and Coral from Auburn ca. and her brother Brian from Los Angeles caught these two nice salmon. This was Brian's very first salmon and he was excited. The big fish was 27 pounds and the smaller fish weighed in at 13 pounds. We were using an M-2 with a green head and sardine wrap. Thanks, Sonny Harris
Ken Hembree
Hi Deborah, Recognize this guy? Just one of many beautiful Eagle Lake trout caught that day. Thanks Ken (Hembree)! Bob Braun
Eva
This was Eva's (our granddaughter of 10 months) first fishing trip. She was fascinated by the rainbow trout we caught this summer at Union Valley Reservoir in Placerville, California. Dan & Kay Russell

Dante
Caught on 9/15/05, Clearlake (lower lake). Weighted in at 15 lbs. If you don't know, now you know. Dante, Elk Grove, CA
Zachary Paulson
Little did my son know, but the fishing trip that he was about to go on would change his life forever! My name is Dean Paulson and I would like to show you a picture of the very first King Salmon that my son Zachary has ever caught. We were up at The Queen Charlotte Lodge up in Canada and on his first day he linked into a 57lb King Salmon on a cut plug herring rig. He fought the fish for about 45 minuets and when we landed it in the boat, all my son could say is ooooooh boy! Thanks for your time! Dean R. Paulson
