Beans Sousa
Duane "Beans" Sousa caught this 5 pound 11 oz Brown opening day on the Carson River. This fish turned continuously up and down the pool taking line from the reel in rapid spurts. "I was using a spinning rod with a night crawler and as the trout stole more line I nervously thought I needed to adjust the reel's drag. When it finally came within range of my net, I scooped the big Brown up."
 Jarrod Dike
Hello , I caught this 9 lb 4 oz largemouth bass at San just reservoir in Hollister Ca on Saturday, may 12 2007. I was trolling in about 30 ft of water with a mepps dodger  with a needlefish trailing, I was trolling for trout but this was a nice surprise. This fish was released back into the lake. Thank You, Jarrod Dike

We fish here on the Rakaia River in New Zealand and this year I have caught 3 salmon ranging from 4.5kg to 6.6 kg. They are very elusive here now. Pic is of me with the 2 salmon I caught within an hour of each other in the middle of March. Cheers, Julie Cridge

found some fish deep at clearlake and started boating some very good fish, pitched under this dock and my jig came to a halt, thought I was stuck on a rock and then the rock moved!!! This big girl took me out past the 5 mph buoys and stayed deep for 10 minutes, she came up slowly and didn't jump, eased her into the net and sat with shaking hands and legs for 20 minutes, Bob at limit out bait and tackle weighed her for me on his ups scales at 13.25 pounds. Chase and Faith Churchill caught their limits of Rainbow trout on Lake Siskiyou at the base of Mt Shasta in Northern California, St. Patrick's Day. How's that for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?

Tommy's wife and son
My name is Tommy. This is my wife and son at Camanche Lake late January. It was a fun day for us. Times like this I will never forget and hope to do the same with my grandchildren some day so I can watch their faces when they get that first bite and catch their fist fish of the day.
Walt
The March FishSniffer reports indicated that bass fishing was picking up at Lake Berryessa, so I took a trip up to the lake with My dad, Walt Mazzei, age 85. We launched at the north end of the lake, and made our way up the glassy arm of Putah Creek to some of my favorite spots.  We started out tossing Watermelon colored 5" YUM plastic worms into the warm shallows.  On my first cast,  I hooked a 16" smallmouth that put up a great fight.  My dad hooked the second fish,  the beautiful largemouth shown in the attached photo.  We caught fish like that all day on the same baits,  ending up with two limits of bass up to 4 lbs!  It was a beautiful,  picture perfect day with my dad.
