Photo Gallery Braggin' Rights XXIV

This is Linda's first ever shad. Unfortunately she is going to have to wait another year before she can go shad fishing again. After experiencing how much fun shad fishing can be, I think she's hooked. This was her first ever shad. Another recruited license buyer for DFG thanks the American Shad. Dave Jones
I was just caught this Sunday at Lake Alpine. After spending two days of catching trout with night crawlers the bite began to slow down on the third day. I decided to try my biggest blue/silver kastmaster. On my very first cast I hooked in to this fighter. I wasn't sure how big he was, but as soon as I saw him in the water my heart started pounding & was asking God for my line not to snap. After landing him on shore my six pound line did snap, but I was able to get him under control. It took about 5 minutes to get my kastmaster out of his jaw. I have caught bigger ones in the past, but this one took me by surprise. This was my first trip there & didn't know they had them that size. Just thought I would share the story & picture. Keep up the good work! Thanks, Dave Jones
