Mark Wiza Jeff and I caught this light biting 31 inch mackinaw on Fallen Leaf Lake last Wednesday using minnows threaded with a big upholstery needle and hanging a treble hook out its rear. ..Mark Wiza (NOTE: Watch for Wiza's Words of Wisdom soon, exclusively here, at the Fish Sniffer Online)

Swichman
Just wanted to show you some fish that I took at Lake Shasta April 1 of this year. The fish ranged from 6 lb. to over 9 lb. as you can see they measured from 23" to 30" in length. I was using a 1/4 0z. blue stormking spoon. Fishing 35' at 1.7 MPH. Hope you all have as much fun as I did.

Aaron Gonzales
Here is a picture of my step-son Aaron Gonzales with a three pound (approx) trout. He caught it in Robinson Creek on the opening weekend. He fishes hard from sunup to sundown. He's a really good kid and looks at the site when he goes to work with his Mom. I hope you can post them. Thanks.

Bill Mackey
My name is Bill Mackey from Visalia, Ca. and this was my first trip on the Sac. River. My good friend Darrell Featerston from Penn Valley called and said the fish were biting. So Thursday we went fishing, and look at my first Sturgeon, 66 in. 110lbs. Fighting time on light line was 1hr 45min. He was released to fight again.

Hookemup
Took a few of my buddies up to Don Pedro Lake on the 1st to see how my new batch of lures were going to fair. We caught 4 Kokanee that were 1 /12 pounds, 3 Brook trout that were 2 to 2 and 1/2 pounds, a couple of nice Eagle lake trout from 3 to 4 pounds, and the rest of rainbows in the 1 and 1/2 to 2 pound class. We tried several other lures such as the excels, some different types of needle fish, apexes, and spinning a night crawler. After giving them a try for about an hour with no results we went to my new batch of lures and slayed them. Not too shabby for an afternoon fishing trip, especially when you can be off the lake and home by 5:00 PM to clean them all.

What a wonderful 2 weeks of vacation......down in kona, hawaii, 3 days of big game fishing....on my last day hooked & landed a 501 lb blue marlin, took 4 hours to bring to the boat......normally I would have released him, but we couldn't revive him.....$1500 to mount & $495 to ship, takes 3 mos...hopefully I've convinced my fiancée by that time that we have space for it.
