The salmon are biting finally. Assuming you haven't been blown off the water and have your fresh salmon in the fridge wondering how to serve it, and assuming you have little time to cook since you spent all day fishing and cleaning your catch, this recipe is for you.
- Fresh Salmon Filets, skin left on
- "It's a Dilly" spice (most grocery stores carry it in their spice section)
- Freshly ground pepper and salt
- Garlic Oil (optional, but really good)
Take salmon filets and rub around a teaspoon of garlic oil onto the meat. Place skin side down and cover generously, and I do mean generously, with It's a Dilly and freshly ground pepper. I also salt the filets, but that's not necessary.
Light your barbeque grill. Set filets on grill, skin side down and grill away. Put the top over the grill for some of the time. DO NOT TURN. It takes around 5-10 minutes depending on the thickness of your filets.
