Englebright Bass On Good Bite
"Most folks don’t think of Englebright as a bass lake – but we have a pretty good population of spotted bass here,” remarked Mike at Skippers Cove Marina. “Chip Helsel pulled in a 4 1/2 pound spotted bass on a purple Robo Worm – rigged as a drop shot. Blacks Ravine is also popping out some smallies too. “
Mike said trout up to twenty four inches are falling for trolled nightcrawlers led by flashers up in the no-wake and no-ski zones – bank anglers working Boston bar with Powerbait and are also seeing good action.
“Bullards Bar fishing has slowed with the heat,” stated Billy at Emerald Cove Marina. “Koke anglers will find fish, but will have to go down 80-100 feet to do so. Work deeper channels at Dark Day or the Dam with typical kokanee gear – Uncle Larry’s spinners paired with a dodger. Bass are also deeper – staging in the 50-60 foot range – they have been working kokanee or blue-gill fry – so match the hatch and anglers should do OK.”
Bullards Bar is at 69% capacity, while Englebright stands at 95% of capacity.Back To Reports
