The Fish Sniffer - Englebright Pen Fish Continue to Bite
Englebright Pen Fish Continue to Bite

Written By: Garry Erck, June 2, 2014
Species: Trout
Location: Englebright Reservoir, Bullards Bar Reservoir,

Englebright anglers continue to reap the benefits of the Skipper’s Cove pen program at the lake – as fish continue to work their way throughout the water column, anglers are finding quality rainbow trout in their creels.

“Trout continue to hit for trollers throughout the lake,” said Lisa Rogers at Skipper’s Cove Marina. “Boaters working up lake in the Sunnyside area reported a nice limit of trout in the 16-19 inch class caught on flasher/crawler combos.”

“Bullards Bar kokanee continue to bite,” reported Ed Fisk at Fish Tales Guide Service.  “They are small, but still offer solid action. I would recommend anglers work the Dark Day and Garden Point areas, thirty feet deep for active kokanee on silver or watermelon dodgers and pink Uncle Larry’s spinners or pink hoochies.”

Bullards Bar is at 69% capacity, while Englebright stands at 93% of capacity.
