Englebright Trout Still Active
Summer temperatures haven’t killed off the trout bite at Englebright Lake, as Mike Torres of Skippers Cove Marina reported bankies and trollers have been getting into them this past week.
“Bank anglers have really scored lately with limits coming in pretty easy for those tossing PowerBait from the shorelines. The marina is also producing for the bankies – trollers are drifting nightcrawlers up in Hogs Back Ravine and finding nice holdover action,” Torres explained.
Emerald Cove Marina at Bullards Bar Reservoir reported that kokes are still shiny – but small. Anglers fishing Dark Day and the dam area with typical kokanee gear from 50-90 feet will pick up dime bright, but small fish in the 10-12 inch range.
Bullards Bar is at 65% capacity, while Englebright stands at 91% of capacity.Back To Reports
