Englebright Upriver Browns Get Lively
Mike Torres at Skippers Cove Marina reported an upswing in the brown trout action at Englebright Reservoir.
“Anglers working up-lake into the no-wake zone have found browns up to twenty-four inches taking Kastmaster,” he disclosed. “Rainbows are also competing well with twenty inchers coming out of the same area. Angler Nick Savatrelli pulled three rainbows with a trolled dodger and nightcrawler.”
“Bass are offering up some nice fights for those looking for them in the marina area,” he added.
“We are in the middle of the summer doldrums at Bullards Bar,” stated Billy at Emerald Cove Marina. “Kids are back in school and angling pressure is low – but bass are here for the taking; anglers will find them all over the map. “
Look to water 15-60 feet deep and better action will come on live minnows. “Kokes and trout have been scarce, as the koke season tapers down, anglers will find a few nice ones – but they are starting to turn. Trout will start picking up as we move closer to fall patterns,” he noted.
Bullards Bar is at 61% capacity, while Englebright stands at 95% of capacity.Back To Reports
