Shaker striped bass continued to steal bait from anglers on a consistent basis in the area, and other anglers focused on catfish and largemouth bass.
"A lot of shakers," were the top of the discussion this week according to Jason Sheppard of Rio Vista Bait and Tackle, with anglers struggling to weed through the small fish to find keepers.
"The only place where I'm seeing consistent keepers is out on the San Joaquin side right now. Three Mile Slough, Mayberry Slough, and the Antioch Pierare where some keepers are being caught." "A couple are being caught to the north off Highway 84," he added.
"Catfish are being caught along the shoreline here in town, and a few are coming out of Branan Island, too."
"Bass fishing is doing really good towards Frank's Tract. We had one guy pull a nice 22 pound bag," he related.Back To Reports
