Lincoln angler Kirby Desha (Sniffer board handle AMPM) reported a pretty good kokanee angling experience at Bullards Bar.
“I worked water from Garden Point to Mill Creek and caught fish in all areas, hooking fish from top lining down to 30-35 feet deep,” revealed Kirby. “Most kokes were in the 10-12 inch range
“Anything pink has been good, including Koke-a-nuts, Wedding Rings, RMTs and FWG System 2 combos, orange and chartreuse has produced also. Dodgers were mixed, as I found success on Seps, Shasta Tackle and Vance's dodgers,” he said.
“Bullards Bass action is mixed as water skiing activity has impacted bass anglers lately,” said Leven at Emerald Cove Marina. “Early morning topwater action has been very productive – the key is hitting the water before the skiers. Big fish have been coming out with one angler working rocky shorelines and getting a 45 pound sack of fish before full sunup.”
“Englebright anglers are doing well,” said Lisa Rogers at Skipper’s Cove Marina. “Black’s Ravine is kicking out limits of trout for early morning anglers. Drifting nightcrawlers have been the ticket for the most successful this week.”
Bullards Bar is at 63% capacity, while Englebright stands at 93% of capacity.
