Kokanee And Bass Pace Bullards Catcheserr

Species: Bass Kokanee
Location: Bullards Bar Reservoir, Englebright Reservoir,

(Dobbins) Bullards Bar anglers are finding kokanee and bass available for the taking. Emerald Cove Marina reported that bass anglers continue to produce across the lake on plastics.

Private boater reports show the bite still active for pan-sized kokanee in Garden Point and Dark Day areas with most coming in the sixty-foot range. Trollers are using a variety of offerings, including Wedding Rings, Sockeye Slammers, Needlefish and Uncle Larry’s spinners, all topped with white shoepeg corn.

Lisa Rogers at Skippers Cove Marina reports anglers are seeing tough action due to heavy water recreation activity.  “We are seeing a lot of skiers and that’s doing two things – keeping the bite down and also keeping the anglers off the lake.  However, some die hard anglers have reported a decent bite on pan-sized trout up at Bucks Beach.”

Bullards Bar is at 56% capacity, while Englebright stands at 92% of capacity.
