Rainbows And Browns Highlight Recent Fishing
While the action at Bucks Lake has slowed a bit, the fishing is still very good. At Almanor things are up and down, but there are big fish in the mix and the bite is expected to improve greatly now that the hex hatch is over.
“I’m working the arms at Bucks Lake,” disclosed Bryan Roccucci of Big Daddy’s Guide Service. “While the bite is good in both arms, I’ve been spending a lot of time in the Bucks Creek Arm targeting rainbows.”
Bryan is trolling Dick Nite Spoons and Needlefish close to the bottom in water that ranges from 25 to 40 feet deep.
“At Almanor, the hex hatch is over and a week ago the bite was very good for browns, rainbows and kings. Some of the trout were ranging up to 4 pounds. That action was taking place on the east shore from the Dorado to Big Springs,” said Roccucci.Back To Reports
