Rockfish and lingcod fishing off the Marin County coast has been excellent on the calmer days when the winds aren’t blowing.

“A trip off Duxbury Reef and the Towers produced limits of rockfish and 10 lingcod to 12 pounds for 15 anglers on Wednesday, June 11,” reported Erik Anfinson, captain of the Bass Tub.  “Most of the rockfish were browns, blues and blacks.”

“On the following trip, the 15 kids aboard the boat caught half limits of rockfish and 8 lingcod,” said Anfinson. “They also bagged 5 striped bass and 2 halibut inside the bay.”

A trip on Sunday, June 15 produced 7 bass to 18 pounds and 2 halibut to 15 pounds for 18 passengers fishing aboard the Bass Tub. “We drifted live bait inside the bay,” said Anfinson. “It was too rough outside of the Golden Gate.”
