Rockfish Provide Limits, While Anglers Report Mixed Success On Salmon
Salmon fishing was good for some and not so good for others on Sunday with private boaters reporting from limits to nada. The Tigerfish out of Emeryville Sport Fishing posted a good score with over a fish per rod with 14 salmon to 25-pounds for 11 anglers on Sunday.
Berkeley’s New Easy Rider has been targeting rockfish one day and salmon the next. Their most recent salmon adventure produced 18 fish for 19 anglers, while rockfish trips produce easy limits.
Rockfishing remains the best option for putting meat in the freezer with Second Captain Bob Wright of the Happy Hooker loading up with 17 limits of rockfish and l7 limits of ling cod to 15-pounds on Sunday.
The Emeryville Sportfishing boats concentrated on rockfish through the weekend with the Sea Wolf, New Huck Finn, and New Seeker loading up with a combined 56 limits of rockfish and 25 ling cod fishing at either the Farallon Islands or along the Marin coastline on Sunday. The same boats went out on Saturday in both locations for 97 limits of rockfish and 59 ling cod to 14-pounds.
Captain Chris Smith ran the California Dawn on Saturday, and they went up the Marin coast for 30 limits of rockfish to go along with 20 lingcod.Back To Reports
