Salmon Are Still Biting
Anglers fishing from shore and boat continue to catch salmon on roe and plugs in the Sacramento from Knights Landing to Chico.
“The season has still remained steady, and we’re still catching a bunch of quality fish,” reported Scott Feist of Feisty Fish Guide Service. “I am on the downhill slope of the season, running trips for about 15 more days, then switching to waterfowl hunting.”
Rick Kennedy of Tight Lines Guide Service is back up on the Sacramento River salmon fishing by Butte City. Clients who found good fishing with Kennedy on Friday, October 11 were Bruce Cobb from Morgan Hill, Christopher Leu, Steve Beale and Scott Stoller, all from Pasadena. All of the salmon were caught on Yakima Bait T-55 Flat Fish
Manuel Saldana Jr. of MSJ Guide Service has switched from the Sacramento to the Feather River, where the kings offer solid action. “Today’s fishing trip with Grace, Rob and Bill was a blast,” said Saldana on October 12. “On October 11, Jamie, Ron and Jose from Bakersfield hooked and landed some Feather Rver salmon.”Back To Reports
