Sly Park Delivers Rainbows And Bass
A recent 2000 pound trout plant and a bass bite that’s perking up is giving anglers a good shot at fish at Jenkinson Lake.
“The recent plant is going to light up action at the marina, ramp and second dam,” reported Denise at Sly Park Resort. “Most trout anglers will be working PowerBait for their fish.”
“Bass anglers should work the back side of the lake with plastics to get into those fish and mackinaw and browns might be targetable for trollers working just off the shoreline – as these fish are pretty active picking off recent planters,” she explained.
“Launching is still an issue – but if anglers want to try some bank trout action, French Meadows might be worth a try,” said John Wadden at Will Fish Bait and Tackle. “I would toss worm/bobber setups at the creek right near the dam and would expect at least 1-2 fish for my efforts. As cooler weather rolls through or maybe some rain arrives, expect a solid uptick in action.”
“Bank action at Stumpy Meadows is about all you can get at the lake,” said Kristen at Georgetown Ace Hardware. “Worms or PowerBait will pick up 1-2 fish per rod – but overall Stumpy is very slow and anglers are working hard for their fish.”Back To Reports
