Recent snow storms have pushed through the Sierra Nevada, causing many anglers to stay off the water in recent weeks. Those that do sneak out are finding top-notch action while targeting deep water mackinaw.
"Action has been from good to very good over the past few weeks as reports from across the lake seem to be pretty consistent. Fish in the 3 to 7 pound range have been caught with many more of the bigger 10 lb + fish showing up," related Gene St. Denis of Blue Ribbon Charters.
The staff at Tahoe Sportfishing reported that limits have been pretty easy to come by when the weather cooperates. They continue fishing off the Sky Run Shelf and Edgewood Shelf with minnows trolled behind flashers.
Mickey Daniels of Mickey's Big Mack Charters has spent most of the past couple weeks in a holding pattern waiting for the weather to clear up. Daniels is excited about the fishing prospects for the rest of the month. "This is one of the best times of the year to target Tahoe's mackinaw," related Daniels.Back To Reports
