Location: Sacramento River- Delta, Sacramento River- Middle,

(Rio Vista) Trollers working the West Bank of the Sacramento River experienced a slower bite on striped bass, while sturgeon continue to be landed in Cache Slough.

Fishing was slow along the west bank on Thursday, February 28, according to striper trolling expert Clyde Wands.

"We skunked that day, but the previous week my partner and I had over 20 schoolies on the day," he said. Wands trolled shallow on both trips with Yo-Zuri's.

Bait fishing also slowed with Craig Kamikawa, assistant manager of Fisherman's Warehouse experiencing very little action on his latest fishing adventure. "We fished various spots from Collinsville to Decker Island for only a few hits," he related.

Sturgeon continued to be good for anglers fishing Cache Slough "Some customers reported good success last weekend, with one group catching six fish, 2 of which were oversized," Kamikawa said. "Pile worms, eel and ghost shrimp are working best."
