Take Your Pick Of Bass, Crappie Or Cats
Good fishing continues to roll with bass, crappie and catfish all producing for South Bay Area anglers. Coyote Lake was the top bet for bass this week, according to Jason Costlovich of Coyote Bait and Tackle.
"There's been a good plastic worm and jig bite, with the fish sitting around six to eight feet during the day, and in the mornings and afternoons, they're right up on the bank," he tipped. "The rest of the lakes are decent with drop shot rigs working during the day, and some top water and reaction baits working in the mornings."
"There's a good crappie bite happening at both Calero and Coyote with the fish being caught off the shorelines with jigs and minnows,” he disclosed.
"Catfish are being caught at Uvas and Chesbro, but there haven't been very many big ones. Most of them are around two to three pounds," he related. Mackerel, chicken livers and nightcrawlers were Costlovich's recommendations for the whiskerfish.Back To Reports
