I was able to make a Post-Thanksgiving trip this past weekend to the Chain Island/Collinsville area with my nephew Jack. The water temperatures have dropped to 53 degrees, cutting down on the nibble bites and shaker action. What we lacked in quantity, we made up for in quality with a hefty nine pounder coming to the net. We ended the day with three keepers, several shakers, and one that broke off on the hook set. In all, it was a great day of soaking bait.
The cooling water temperatures will cut down on your bite totals, but when the bigger fish come along they mean business - so keep your lines wet!Back To Reports
