Windy conditions have kept boating pressure and striped bass action to a minimum, while others continue to look for catfish along the city shoreline.
"Slow," was the highlight from Jason Sheppard at Rio Vista Bait and Tackle this week, where anglers in search of striped bass and sturgeon were scarce.
"The only place I'm hearing about stripers here is up past the Isleton Bridge on bait, otherwise there's some action out by Frank's Tract and Mildred Island," he tipped.
"Guys out there are doing pretty well on the largemouth as well," he added.
No shortage on catfish was found, especially within the city limits. "They're catching catfish along River Road, Sandy Beach and the city shoreline,” he said.
"If you're looking for sturgeon, they're doing pretty good out at Montezuma Slough. There's also some stripers being caught there,” Sheppard added.Back To Reports
