DERBY UPDATE 11/16/00

Now don`t go getting your panties in a bunch but were going to allow everyone to pump a Sturgy one time (not on the same day...). So that way if you have a sturgy hanging the first day... you can go back after em on the second....or third....just one bump though. I`ll put the word out again on vhf channel 68 friday and saturday am. Save the negative hits. I need positive vibs now folks.

Lots of good prizes keep pouring in. Fishsniffer just loaded us up again. Rods and reels....hats.....subscriptions...and yes Hookemup....more of those Kershaw knives with the Sniffer Logo embossed. P-Line is also one of our sponsors so I'm sure their working us up a good package. Thanks to Bob Simms I`ll be stopping by Broadway Bait manana to pick up some prizes from them. Once again the support from Bait shops and other sponsors has been outstanding. Alot goes on behind the lines and the Canevaro`s have been giants at getting the derby promoted....Contacting sponsors....and helping me with the taming of the lions, ect.ect. You`ll see what I mean at the final weigh-in.

DERBY UPDATE 11/13/00

One week to go. Here`s the rules. Lots of cash and lots of prizes. I think there were one or two combatants at the last derby that didn`t walk away with something. Weather looks like it`s going to cooperate and great tides. Sorry to say but Ron at Dockside has informed me today that there will be no firearms allowed. He`ll lose his license if there are firearms. Why he needed to tell me this I don`t know. Coulda been because I was on the Harley with leathers. Go figure (or maybe he reads the board). Anyway, I`m looking forward to seeing everybody there. It`s gonna be a DANDY!

Rules of Engagement

1. ALL FISHERPEOPLE MUST ADHERE TO ALL FISH AND GAME RULES AND REGULATIONS
2. CUT OFF FOR DERBY REGISTRATION WILL BE 12:00 NOON SATURDAY NOV. 18TH
3. ALL FISHERPEOPLE IN THE BOAT MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE DERBY (YOU TOO TIMMIE)
4. STRIPER: MINUMUM SIZE 26" MAY BE BUMPED ONE TIME
5. STURGEON TARGET SIZE- WILL BE PULLED AT 6:00 AM FRIDAY NOV. 17TH BY ROD WAITE AT DOCKSIDE MARKET. ONLY ONE STURGEON MAY BE CHECKED IN
6. OFFICIAL WEIGH-IN MASTER WILL BE JIM CHOCOLAS OF CSBA. WEIGH-IN MASTER HAS ALL FINAL DECISIONS. WEIGH-INS WILL BE HELD AT DOCKSIDE MARKET AT THE MARINA WEIGH-IN TIMES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
   6:00 AM-6:00 PM, FRIDAY, NOV.17TH
   6:00 AM-6:00 PM, SATURDAY, NOV.18TH
   6:00 AM-2:00 PM, SUNDAY, NOV. 19TH
7. DERBY WILL BE MONITORED ON VHF RADIO, CHANNEL 68
