SACRAMENTO – Rainbow trout fishing was superb in December, with an occasional slower day mixed in. But with rising water levels from recent storms, the lake waters have muddied up., with high flow going into the reservoir from Putah Creek as the New Year began.

In a recent report, Nate Kelsch of Big Nate’s Guide Service reported tough fishing one day and limit fishing the next two trips.
