It’s Time for Spring Steelhead
RANCHO CORDOVA – Steelhead continue to be the top quarry of anglers as the spring run of steelhead starts to move into the lower American River.
“We’re catching around 1 to 2 adult steelhead per day,” said Kailyr Perry of Kailyrs Guide Service. “We are also releasing a lot of young steelhead that CDFW recently released. Most of the bank anglers and boaters have left the river lately – the fishing pressure is light.”
