Boaters Battle Bay Stripers and Halibut

SAN FRANCISCO – The spring striped bass and halibut season has begun on San Francisco Bay with superb catches.

“Today myself, Willie, Lucas and Steven went out on a scouting trip and found incredible early season fishing,” reported Mike Rescino, Captain of the Lovely Martha out of Fisherman’s Wharf, on March 13.“We finished up with full limits of bass and 5 beautiful halibut!. We also released a bunch of keeper bass and had plenty of shaker halibut to keep us busy. This spring is shaping up to be a good one!”
