Trout action at Lake Amador

Bite has been slow to fair with surface temps holding around 53° and water is a bit stained still. Fish are coming anywhere from top to 30’ and best action has been in the main body of the lake. 1.4 - 1.8 mph seems to be the ticket and fish have taken a variety of baits ranging from dark colored Rapalas, spoons and soft plastics.

Their derby currently runs through 3/29 with lots of prizes still up for grabs via tagged fish and raffle tickets; entry is a one-time $9 per angler and fish up to 17lb have been planted so far!!
